Descended from five generations of Texans. Born in Michigan but returned to Texas as soon as possible and have been here more than 50 years.
Grew up in the auto industry, worked in the high-tech and hobby industries with a focus on marketing and advertising. Early jobs included law enforcement, radio station announcer and driver for a medical lab. With all this variety, the only occupation that made sense was writing which I have been doing for the past 20 years.
Married for more 30 years to a wonderful woman who has been described as the best thing that ever happened to me. Opinions vary as to whether the reverse is equally true. We have four adult children of whom we are very proud and four grandchildren.
